To "candy" a food item means to simply cook in sugar (or a sugar substitute) to create a sweet coating over the food.
You can enjoy this keto candied bacon alone as a snack, with breakfast, or as a garnish! Try topping your favorite keto desserts (like cake, donuts, or ice cream) with this candied bacon. You can also kick up your cocktail game by adding this keto bacon as a garnish to your favorite drinks like an Old Fashion, Bloody Mary, or Vodka Caesar.

 12 oz bacon
 ¼ cup "brown sugar" erythritol
 ¼ tsp black pepper

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.


Lay out the strips of bacon on a baking sheet.


Sprinkle the bacon with the black pepper.


Evenly distribute half of the "brown sugar" erythritol over the bacon strips.


Bake the bacon strips in the oven for 10 minutes.


Flip over the bacon strips and sprinkle the rest of the "brown sugar" bacon on the other side.


Place your keto candied bacon back in the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until crispy.


Once done, remove from the oven and allow to completely cool.


Serve your keto candied bacon alone or as a garnish for your favorite keto dessert or drink!
