Making keto cake and cupcakes involve simple swaps and are becoming easier-and-easier to find in store. But, if you want to decorate your cake, cookies, or cupcakes with sprinkles, the most common option is made with pure sugar.
These keto sprinkles are the perfect alternative to traditional sugar sprinkles. They are simple to make, require few ingredients, and look just like regular sprinkles!
Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper.
Beat the egg whites, erythritol, and vanilla extract in a bowl until the mixture thickens.
Divide the keto sprinkles batter into separate bowls and add food coloring based on preference.
Spoon separate colored sprinkles into piping bags or ziplock bags and pipe into small sprinkle-shaped pieces on the wax/parchment paper.
Note: if you'd like differently shaped keto sprinkles, try using a different piping tip.
Leave the keto sprinkles out to dry for 24-36 hours.
Store your keto sprinkles in an air-tight container or in the freezer to keep them firmer.
