Roll the dough out between 2 pieces of parchment paper, to about ¼ cm thick.

9

Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut 10 circles out of the dough and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
Note: You may need to roll the dough scraps to get more circles.

Fold the dough over and enclose the meat by pinching the edges and forming the dough into a half circle. With a fork crimp the edges to ensure the meat is not going to leak out.

  1. Adriana says:

Add green olives and boiled egg to filling for authentic Argentina empanadas!

    1. GB Hernandez says:

  2. PATRICIA MORRISON says:

Your 1/4 inch thick directions for the dough…is slightly off. There is no way you can make 10 at 1/4 inch thick. Maybe you can make 3. The recipe is not accurate!!

    1. Hi, Patricia. They should be 1/4 cm thick. Thank you!

    2. Donald Robinson says:

      What diameter are the circles?

    3. Aimee Aristotelous says:

      Hi Donald–about three inches!

  3. Marco says:

How many calories are in these?

    1. Hi, Marco. There are 134 calories per empanada.
