Why did you start keto?
Coming right out of high school, I finally had the freedom I needed to invest in myself. I started keto because I was tired of starting over and I was tired of not feeling confident in myself. Health is truly wealth and I knew I needed to invest in myself. Fast forward I’m on my journey again after having my baby but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
What was the hardest part of keto and how did you overcome it?
The hardest part about switching over to keto was being in a house full of temptation and around others who aren’t on the same journey you are but when you figure out your “why” as in why you’re really doing it, you can overcome any temptation.
Biggest changes in your day-to-day life?
Some of the biggest changes I’ve experienced were feeling full without finishing my whole plate, trying on clothes and not having to get 2 sizes bigger, and even feeling confident in my pictures.
Best tip for newbies?
My top tip for newbies would be to keep it SIMPLE!
Pick a protein! Pick a veggie! Pick a healthy fat! Boom, that’s your meal!
When you overcomplicate things, you overcomplicate the process.
If there is one thing that you could tell yourself when first getting started, what would it be and why?
I would tell her it’s okay to have setbacks! It’s life and life will happen. As long as you do not give up you will get to where you need to be.

Remember that this is your journey! Do not compare yourself to anyone else and trust the process. The scale is not your bestie! Measure your process by your clothes, pictures, energy levels and more!
