What was the hardest part of keto and how did you overcome it?
In the beginning It was diffcult to keep myself motivated, and I did not know anybody else following keto in the Netherlands. I opened my blog Trustnocarb.com, where I talk about my keto life and I review products.
Since then it is so much fun staying motivated. Also, thanks to my blog I have the opportunity to talk with a lot of people and make many keto friends. We motivate each other.
Biggest changes in your day to day life?
I have a new energy. My productivity is skyrocketing. I have the strength to train early in the morning at the gym, keep my house clean, work a full-time job, maintain my blogs, and still have the vitality to do even more. All this is possible to keto: it’s fantastic how living low-carb is working amazingly for me.
Best tip for newbies?
No matter what diet you are following, listen to your body, and don’t try to be perfect from day 1. You will get there, it gets easier with time.
If there is one thing that you could tell yourself when first getting started, what would it be and why?
I would tell myself: You don’t need to be so strict, there is no need to obsessively track every single olive that you eat.
