When you first start a keto diet your body rapidly excretes the excess fluid it’s been retaining on a high carb diet, taking some magnesium and other electrolytes with it. Studies show that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin. Epsom salt baths are a great way to replenish this mineral and can also reduce muscle aches and relax the body.
You can also consume Epsom salt internally to ease constipation. Epsom salt increases the amount of water in your intestines, softening your stool and making it easier to pass.
