Discussion

  1. Kristen says:

Does the frosting harden just like regular royal icing? I’d like to package them in gift boxes but I’m not sure if I can stack them.

    1. Hi, Kristen. The meringue will help the frosting harden down, but it could still transfer. We would recommend trying it out and then letting them sit out overnight to make sure they fully dry and see how that works!

  2. Fiona Di Domizio says:

Do do you have to use the xanthan gum in the icing?

    1. Hi, Fiona. You do not have to, but it will thicken the icing. If you don’t use xanthan gum, use less liquid to try and maintain an icing-like texture.
