keto diet pill scam

I never thought that I would be uploading a part 4 in this Shark Tank Keto Pill Scam, but here I am over a year later. We’ve received hundreds of comments and DMs and I am happy to say that so many people have been saved from this scam by us making these videos, so I wanted to make another one in hopes that someone will see it before they get caught up in this vicious scam of keto diet pills.

About Me

First off, for those that see this video (or any others in the series, and have no idea who I am, here’s a brief background so you understand that I am not just someone off the street complaining about these supplements.

Dr. Ryan P. Lowery is the CEO of ketogenic.com, author of The Ketogenic Bible, President of the Applied Science and Performance, and KetoPhD™. His mission is to spread awareness around the Ketogenic Lifestyle and its many benefits beyond body composition. He earned his BS and MS in exercise physiology and exercise and nutrition science from the University of Tampa and completed his doctorate work at Concordia University in Health and Human Performance with a focus on “The Effects of a Well-Formulated Ketogenic Diet and Exogenous Ketone Supplementation on Various Markers of Health and Body Composition in Healthy and Diseased Populations.” Over his career, Ryan has published over 150 papers, abstracts, and book chapters on human performance and sports nutrition and has dedicated his life to educating the masses.

So, Why Am I Making These Videos & Articles About the Keto Pill Scam?

I have received emails, phone calls, comments, and even hand-written letters from individuals who have been scammed by this company who thought ketogenic.com or I were involved. Let me be clear that I have no affiliation with this company whatsoever. In fact, I’ve received threats from the company from speaking out.

I have filmed these videos in hopes that someone will see them and save themselves hundreds of dollars. It saddens me to see so many people who are on a fixed income or who are being challenged by these tough economic times lose hundreds of dollars to these Shark Tank keto pill scammers.  If everyone that bought keto pills signed up for Ketogenic+ for an entire year it would still be cheaper than a bottle of these scam keto pills and you would undoubtedly learn and change your life.  You might not have the “quick fix” but you’d have the resources, accountability, and blueprint for changing your life

We need to work together to help protect and foster the keto conversation because scam artists like these are giving keto a black eye.

So What’s Changed Since Parts 1-3 of This Series?Keto diet pills are a scam

With more people are at home and using the computer, this company has dramatically increased ads and even started using influencers (screenshots in the video) to market these products. The unfortunate reality is that even members of the keto community have begun to shout out these keto pills that have less than 1g of BHB and will have absolutely no effect other than wasting your money.

As previously shown in the past videos, this company cycles through pill/company names in order to try to keep the scam fresh. Some examples of new names for the keto pills that might be marketed as Shark Tank Keto Pills include Healthy Keto, One Shot Keto, Number One Keto, and Dr. Keto. For more names, make sure to check out our parts 1 and 2 of this video, where we list out as many as we could find.

As shown in the previous videos as well, they are still using the fake persona of Sarah the Nutritionist to sell this product. Just a friendly reminder not to believe everything you see on social media!

So, What Is The Goal of This Video?

We’ve been flooded with letters of people thinking it’s us and begging for help. So, we are focusing on trying to spread awareness and prevent as many people as possible from falling for this shark tank keto pill scam.

Here’s how can you help someone avoid this keto pill scam:

  • Share these articles and videos
  • Anytime you hear about keto supplements – investigate and then run
  • Call the numbers and see what happens
  • Report the companies to the Better Business Bureau

Words of Advice If You Are Scammed By These Shark Tank Keto Pills:

If you do fall for this scam, trying to call to get a refund has proven to be pointless (as shown by the hundreds of comments on our videos and articles). Instead, contact your bank or credit card company and report the charges as fraudulent. This will prevent new charges from occurring and potentially help you get a refund.

Discussion

  1. Marie says:

    Hello,
I came across your video while trying to find information on Keto fit that scammed me the same way. This company was out of Scottsdale, AZ and billed my card as Premium Keto. I also only bought one bottle and they charged me for six at $240.00. After returning the product they still refuse to issue a refund. The phone number is 833-955-0079

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Marie. We are so sorry to hear that you were also scammed by this company. We would recommend contacting your bank or credit card company to dispute the charges and have your card canceled so you don’t get any future charges.

    2. Greg Pfeifer says:

I got scammed. They took our order for 1 bottle. Then the same day they changed our Capital 1 credit card another $185.00 which was not authorized by myself. We had no more funds available on my cc or they would have taken more. I’m really mad at Capital 1 because they let them get away with this scam!

    3. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Greg. We are so sorry to hear that you were a victim of this scam. We would recommend canceling your card as well as reporting the charges as fraudulent.

    4. Gina ruth Atkins says:

I too have been scammed they took a total of 278.00. I’ve yet to get a refund been trying since april 2021

    5. Monika Cordick says:

Scam Alert; official website charges more than double, compared to other sellers, pressures you to by additional products (phone calls). Refuses to accept returns and refunds, unlike stated on the website. Charged credit card the day of purchase, 1 month later I still haven’t received shipment

    6. Steve says:

The phone number you have listed is no longer available Did you ever get a hold of anyone at this company?

  2. Mya says:

Hello, My mother purchased these keto pills online! They’re called GoBeyond Go Keto and GoBeyond GoTrim. I cannot find any website or anything on them and it’s frustrating. There’s a number on the bottle and I want to call it but I’m also really scared to call because I know a scam when I see one…..My mom thinks it’s affiliated with shark tank but on the shark tank website, there’s nothing about keto pills.

In this situation, what would I do?? I don’t want my mom to keep getting charged for them.

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Mya. We are so sorry to hear that your mom was a victim of this scam. Here is a full article detailing the steps you should take to prevent unnecessary charges. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!

  3. Kelly says:

IT ALL ONE BIG SCAM! YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE THE PILLS NOR YOUR MONEY BACK! Do not fall for their ads. I ordered Keto Fast and they additionally charged me for Keto Cleanse Wichita I did not order in addition to their membership for a special Health newsletter. I have been calling this company just about weekly demanding a refund with no luck. I’m heading to my bank to block any further charges from them and to see what else I can do. ONE BIG BIG BIG SCAM!!! All foreigners with really hard to understand English. I even told them that I could not understand them and I asked to speak to an American. The scammers work out of their homes. No wonder they are hated by so many.

  4. Chuck says:

I’ve got this place called organcm*organic-myk billing my debit card 89.95for the last 2 months and 4.95 the month before the last two and I don’t know what the hell it is I think it has something to do with keto diet pills now I’m 5’7″ tall and weigh 165 lbs don’t need to lose any weight can’t figure out how they got my card number and I certainly wouldn’t order any diet pills but I tried to call them at the number that my bank had only to find out number was no longer in service and I realy need to give the scamming morons a piece of my mind if anyone can help me with another phone number or any information about this it would make me very happy because 184.95 is a lot of money for nothing and that’s all iv’e got so far is nothing please any help will be greatly appreciated thank you.

  5. Charles Graham says:

Embarrassed to say I fell for the Keto Fast hype and ordered 2 bottles. They sent 4 and charged me $149.91. Plus, they charged me for 3 other items I never ordered. I called the # for refund info and was told it would be posted 7 days after items were returned. After 3 more calls and 42 days later, still no response. Today I filed a complaint with the FTC and will do the same with the BBB,, Attorney General, and my credit card Co.

  6. Janet Jagdhane says:

Dear Amy Hayes. I was scammed and my concern is this: If the government can put Gary Trudeau in prison just for writing some informative books, why can’t the billionaire hosts on Shark Tank GO TO JAIL FOR LYING WHEN THEY STATED IT WAS THE BIGGEST WIN FOR ANY CONTESTANT ON THEIR SHOW SINCE ALL THE HOSTS WENT IN ON THE KETO DEAL (not just 0, or 1 host bought in, but all 5 hosts bought in). This DECEPTION IS IN-YOUR-FACE-FRAUD and I won’t be happy until they ALL go to JAIL.
    FRAUD >>
Person(s) or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities.

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Janet. As we have mentioned several times in our 5 articles on this subject and videos, Shark Tank has nothing to do with these pills. This company is lying and photoshopping images from Shark Tank, but they were never actually on the show. All of the judges have publically announced that they are in no way affiliated with these pills.

  7. Gail Nowacky says:

I too was scammed by the company in Scottsdale AZ. It has been two months since I returned the products to them, sent signed return receipt requested, I have their signature showing they received the returned goods two months ago and yet, no refund Credit card company is disputing it with them, but it is very frustrating. Just saying, beware!

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Gail. We’re sorry to hear that you were a victim of this scam! We are glad you’re credit card is disputing the charges, however.

  8. L. F. ETHEREDGE says:

I am also a victim of a Keto scam as well as other products that someone used my credit card to charge. What I do not understand is that I did not order these products that are charged to my visa CC which is now closed. All these products came to my house, some addressed to me and some to a bogus name. What I don’t understand is how does this benefit a crook. They are not getting products, they are coming to my house, some through amazon. I have notified amazon, called some of the companies and am waiting to have the fraud department at Visa to return the money to my account. My question, HOW DOES THIS BENEFIT THE PERSON WHO RIPPED OFF MY CARD NUMBER AND ORDERED ALL THIS STUFF IF IT IS NOT GOING TO THEIR ADDRESS AND IS COMING TO MINE. I DON’T GET IT! PLEASE EXPLAIN IF YOU KNOW. L. ETHEREDGE

  9. Carole Dover says:

I have also been scammed by Ketogenic. On Feb. 11, 2021 I ordered a Keto sample plus one bottle. In a matter of minutes after I gave my credit card number I was told my told my total was $277.97. I angrily told them to cancel that but in a matter of about three minutes, I was told that my order was already being shipped and it could not be cancelled. I put this in the hands of my credit card company, who fought it, but unsuccessfully. I got $48.27 back, but they still owe me $198.70. I called again today and was refused.

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Carole. We are so sorry to hear that you were a victim of this scam. Rather than trying to get a refund from the scam company, we would recommend reporting the charges to your credit card company.

  10. Gregory Pfeifer Sr says:

Hello Dr. Lowery, recently we ordered 1 bottle of Keto 1500 for $39.95. We received 5 bottles in which we did not order. Your company took the $39.95 from our credit card and then charged another $185.00 100 percent refund but that didn’t happen. We blocked our card so we wouldn’t be charged anymore, unauthorized. We sent the 4 bottles back
Can you please help. We are retired with limited income.

    1. Amy Hayes says:

Hi, Gregory. This scam company is in no way affiliated with Ketogenic.com or Dr. Ryan Lowery. We are simply bringing awareness to this scam to try and help people avoid losing money. Unfortunately, there is nothing really we can do on our end besides help spread awareness and advice that individuals contact their credit card companies to report the charges as fraudulent. Hope this helps!

  11. Barbara A Sfraga says:

I got scanned by kero strong. Thought I was getting 1 bottle at $29 to only find out I got bulled over $300. I have not way of contacting them. So many keto this
    ..keto that.

  12. Julie says:

I am SO embarrassed to say I fell for this scam. I knew better. Got taken for about $210 total. I got an RMA to return the product (proof of delivery, my expense) and sent it back. Filed dispute with Capital One and cancelled my card. Keto Strong is saying they’ve cancelled my account and will not issue a refund because I filed a dispute. They also say I didn’t return product within 30 days even though there was a big guarantee on their order page that said I had 90 days to return for a no-hassle refund (oh, the irony). The most frustrating thing, though, has been Capital One. I have uploaded over 20 documents multiple times and made several calls to explain the situation, but rather than advocating for me it’s almost like they are siding with the scammers. I’m not giving up yet, but wondering why when it’s an obvious scam they don’t take a harder stance against these bogus companies?

  13. Cheryl says:

I too was scammed out of over $300 and called a number to seek a refund. The lady telemarketer was extremely rude and I got frustrated and hung up. Beware, Beware, Beware!!! Total Scams!!!

  14. Matthew Newbold says:

I really wish that this article post was stronger with SEO. Typically I wouldn’t say that but this is really important information. When I search “shark tank keto pills” this post is unfortunately nowhere to be found. I do really appreciate the effort on helping people not get scammed but it is not reaching targeted audience that is googling the scam product. Hope this makes sense…feel free to reach out if you want to discuss further.

    1. Lincy Coradin says:

  15. Colleen Reardon says:

Our business has been targeted by these scammers. Somehow they use our business phone number and I get multiple calls saying we scammed people. Our businesses reputation is in question. I explain the scam to the people that call and tell them to call their cc company to dispute the charge. I also have to explain how our business has nothing to do with this scam. The scammers are very clever and change their information so we haven’t been able to track them. Horrible that people take advantage like this.

  16. Jerry G says:

I never ordered this crap…. ever. Yet every day I get a phone call from some place (off-shore no doubt) telling me they need my credit card to clear up my outstanding balance. They always call on a number that can’t be called back, blocking the number does nothing (Verizon is useless to help stop these calls) and the amount to settle my account is always different. There’s nothing I can do to stop these calls, so I answer them, curse profusely at them, maybe they’ll get the hint and move on.

  17. Kim Killion says:

I received a bottle in the mail and I DID NOT order this product. I am trying to gain weight not lose weight. This product came with the address of Aanheim, CA. Any ideas??

  18. Cheryl says:

I was also scammed. I ordered one bottle and they sent me two bottles and charged me $199.00. Every month it is a recurring charge. There is no return information, no email, and no number on the one piece of paper in the bag or on the bottle. My bank says the only thing I can do is cancel my card. I am now talking to an attorney. I am mad!!!
